The discovery call

We Listened

Six things you told us on August 13, and exactly what we will do about each. No repackaging your own words back to you as strategy.

01Shopify support is broken
My director of digital ends up doing a lot of Shopify support. This is broken. This category showed up on B2B when it should have showed up on B2C.
Our answer

We take Shopify support off your director's plate on day one, and we govern the B2B and B2C catalogs so products land in the right channel the first time.

023PL change, live checkout
We're changing 3PL vendors, and our custom checkout asks members for their gym so profit is shared with the franchise partner.
Our answer

We run the 3PL cutover with staged testing and a rollback plan, and we treat the gym attribution checkout as revenue critical, because for your franchise partners it is.

03One dashboard, plain English
GTM and GA are hot garbage. I need SOCi, GA, GTM and Semrush together into a single dashboard that makes my team understand why I need to say childcare instead of child watch.
Our answer

Your tags and analytics are not giving you a clean read. We build the Burn Command Center: five sources, one owned dashboard, plain English insights. Section 09 is the working version.

04GEO will not hold itself
We've rebuilt our site and we're killing it at GEO, but that's going to change. I can't rely on what that is.
Our answer

GEO moves weekly. We monitor your share of AI answers, watch the queries that matter, and adjust content and schema so a good month becomes a trend instead of luck.

05Legacy WordPress
We have one or two legacy WordPress sites to migrate off. The main site is now Next.js and Builder.io on Vercel.
Our answer

We work in your stack, not around it. We migrate the WordPress properties with a mapped redirect plan so rankings and links carry over, and we manage the Next.js, Builder.io and Vercel setup you already run.

06The price problem
You guys were the most expensive, 20 to 25% over everybody else.
Heard, and fixed

AI accelerated delivery lets our team produce more per hour, so the same work costs less to deliver. Blended, that lands at $130 per hour with every rate published in Section 12. These are not discounts, they are a different cost structure.

Scope of work

All Four Pillars Covered

The four scope areas exactly as your RFQ defines them, each answered in your stack and on your terms.

Pillar 01

Strategic Advisory & Website Ops

  • Digital advisory and platform strategy for a chain scaling past 700 gyms
  • Reusable template systems for gyms, kids camps and international
  • Website management on Next.js, Builder.io and Vercel
  • Migrations and performance governance
  • Release gates so placeholder content never reaches production
Pillar 02

Commerce & Systems Integration

  • Shopify Plus admin, B2B and B2C builds, storefronts and checkout
  • The custom gym attribution and profit share checkout
  • 3PL cutover with staged testing and rollback
  • NetSuite, ERP and API middleware support
  • Fabletics partnership and product drop readiness
Pillar 03

SEO, Local Search & Functionality

  • Technical and local SEO across main and shop domains
  • GEO optimization and weekly AI answer monitoring
  • SOCi collaboration. Teammate, not rival.
  • Unified schema across the domain split
  • Forms, workflow automation, lead routing, CRM integration
Pillar 04

Compliance & Reporting

  • ADA and WCAG 2.2 AA audit, remediation, ongoing monitoring
  • A named accountable owner for accessibility, written into the SOW
  • Executive dashboards: SEO, Shopify, GEO and conversion KPIs
  • Plain English monthly reporting
  • Rebuilt, trustworthy conversion tracking

RFQ requirement 1

Franchise and
Multi-Location Proof

Multi-location is not a category we would be learning on your account. It is most of what we have done for 26 years.

Running today

dspworkplace

Our dspworkplace platform runs daily operations for independently owned Amazon delivery businesses nationwide: scheduling, dispatch and performance scorecards. Central governance, unit level ops, owner level accountability. The same mechanics as a franchise system, in production right now.

Platforms we have built

Multi-Unit Systems

  • Consolidated 7 acquired brands onto one ERP platform in 6 months time
  • Built an event-management platform for OCLC, the global library cooperative spanning 16,000+ member institutions in more than 100 countries
  • Built KFC's digital menuboard platform controlling content, day parts and regional pricing across franchise locations
7,500+ locations

Accounts Our Leadership Has Run

Our leadership has personally run agency accounts for franchise systems totaling more than 7,500 locations:

  • Sun Tan City, a 500+ location membership business including their website and iOS and Android member apps, the closest analog to Burn's model
  • Long John Silver's
  • Marco's Pizza, 1,000 units
  • KFC and GE Appliances

RFQ requirement 2

Shopify and Integration Case Studies

You asked specifically for Shopify and NetSuite integration case studies. Here is our record, and our actual position on NetSuite rather than a polite non-answer.

What we have done

Commerce Engineering

  • Full stack Shopify and Shopify Plus, plus Magento and BigCommerce
  • Custom checkout engineering, which is exactly what your gym attribution and profit share flow is
  • B2B and B2C catalog architectures, the precise failure you described on the call
  • In house AI Shopify performance tooling
  • 26 years of API and middleware engineering, including Salesforce and custom ERP builds
Our professional opinion

Where We Stand On NetSuite

'corePHP' integrates with, builds inside, and supports NetSuite. Our engagement here is integration, and that engineering is platform-independent: contract design, staged cutover, idempotent syncs, reconciliation, and a rollback path tested before it is needed. We have been building integrations of this type for 26 years.

NetSuite represents a smaller share of our portfolio than other platforms, and we want to be transparent about why. When clients engage us at the ERP selection stage, we evaluate against their operational profile and recommend the best fit, which is often a different platform. That is a selection-stage recommendation and has no bearing on our ability to integrate with an existing NetSuite deployment.

You will get that kind of straight read on every recommendation we make, including the ones where the honest answer is that you already have it right.

RFQ requirement 3

SEO / Local / GEO Method

Not a capability list. This is the sequence we actually run, and what you get at each step.

Step 01

Baseline

Crawl main, locations and shop domains together. Fix tracking before reading any number, because a baseline built on broken GTM is worth nothing. Deliverable: a verified baseline you can hold us to.

Step 02

Language

Mine how members actually search against how Burn names things internally. Childcare versus child watch is the live example. Deliverable: a terminology layer that keeps brand naming and adds member language in metadata and schema.

Step 03

Structure

Unify schema across the main domain and the SOCi locations subdomain, fix internal linking, strengthen location page headings. Deliverable: one coherent entity graph instead of two disconnected ones.

Step 04

Monitor

Weekly AI answer share tracking against the queries that convert, plus rank and local pack movement in the Command Center. Deliverable: an early warning system, so GEO drift is caught in a week and not a quarter.

On SOCi. SOCi owns local presence at national scale and we are not pitching to replace it. Our job is to make it work harder: feed it better schema and page structure from the main domain, close the location page gaps it cannot reach, and report its output next to GA4 and Shopify so review response time can finally be tied to trial conversion.

We Already Did
The Homework

Nobody asked us to do this. We reviewed the rendered HTML of your main, locations and shop domains in August 2026 and found the following. Every line below is quoted from your live site.

The three that matter most

Highburnbootcamp.com

Placeholder text is live in production

Your homepage renders unfinished template copy to every visitor, and to the AI crawlers that decide whether Burn gets named in an answer.

Rendered HTML burnbootcamp.com
<div class="hero-copy">
150 Character - ipsum dolor sit amet,
  consectetur adipiscing elit...
  Loading image...
</div>

Fix, day one. A Builder.io publishing gate plus a QA checklist, so unfinished content cannot reach production again.

RiskSMS opt-in modal

A staging host is exposed to the public

The Mobile Terms link inside your SMS opt-in modal points at an internal environment. Anyone who opens that modal can reach it.

Rendered HTML SMS opt-in modal
"Mobile Terms" links to:

https://devops.burnbootcamp.com
  /mobile-terms

Fix, day one. Environment aware links plus a CI link check that fails the build on an internal host.

HighHomepage head

Every share of your homepage posts without an image

There is an og:video and a summary card, but no og:image. Members and franchise partners sharing Burn get a bare link.

Document head burnbootcamp.com
<meta property="og:video"   ...>
<meta name="twitter:card"   ...>
<meta property="og:image"> MISSING

Fix, day one. A branded Open Graph image set across the main templates. Verify it yourself in Facebook's Sharing Debugger.

Three more worth scheduling

MediumLocal search

Locations sit on a separate domain

Minimal Organization schema on the main domain and weak location headings such as "Mallard Creek, NC" leave the two properties disconnected.

Fix. Schema depth, internal linking and a SOCi collaboration plan.

MediumPerformance

Hero images ship at 3840px to phones

Every viewport requests the full size asset, and the lead capture modal markup is duplicated four times in the homepage HTML.

Fix. Responsive sizing and markup dedupe.

LowRouting

Old location links throw away their rankings

Legacy URLs such as /locations/huntersville-nc return 404 instead of redirecting, and nav links point to /blogs while the footer uses /blog.

Fix. Canonical routing and a redirect map.

Methodology. Rendered HTML review of the main, locations and shop domains, August 2026. Quotes above are verbatim. Full technical appendix on request, including the week one ADA and WCAG 2.2 baseline scan.

RFQ requirement 4

Team / Cadence / Capacity

The five core people on your account, how work moves week to week, and exactly how much of us you get.

The Numbers

Your RFQ defines two commercial vehicles and kicks off with both running together. Here they are, in your structure and in your order.

Last time we were priced above where we should have been. We fixed it. Not by cutting corners and not by swapping in different people: the same team you meet here, more output per hour, because AI accelerated delivery is what we built our shop around. Every rate is published below. Month to month. No lock in. You own everything we build.

Our commitments

What You Can Count On

Six promises, written into the SOW rather than pitched in a meeting. They are here so you can hold us to them.

01

A Core Team

We hire for talent, not for location, and the five people above are the ones who do your work. No rotating assignment, no handoff after the sale.

02

Outcome Scoped Retainers

Unused hours roll 30 days, and your burn-down is visible any time you want to look at it, not just at renewal.

03

Accessibility With An Owner

A named accountable ADA and WCAG owner, with automated regression testing written into the SOW.

04

Hands On SOCi Collaboration

In scope from day one, working alongside SOCi to make your local presence do more.

05

100% Code Ownership

Every deliverable ships with full source code, always. We build it, YOU own it.

06

Anchor Client Attention

Leadership on every QBR, and a relationship sized so that your account matters to our business.

Every one of these is written into the SOW. Hold us to them.
